KP Sharma Oli, the chairman of the CPN-UML, has challenged Sher Bahadur Deuba, the president [and prime minister of Nepal] the Nepali Congress (NC), to a live discussion on the approaching election.
Oli has stated on Facebook that he is prepared for it, pointing out that several social media users have been pleading with the leaders for a live discussion on election agendas. He asserted that many are calling for an election-related live discussion between Oli and Deuba similar to those done in western nations.
“I am ready for that, is Deuba?” he posted on Tuesday.

On social media on Tuesday, President Oli stated that with the state and House of Representatives elections set for Mangsir 4, many people have proposed that he and Prime Minister Deuba do a live discussion on social media and that he is ready for that. He stated that similar discussions are done in Western nations during elections and that he is prepared for them.
He has said on social media, 'many friends on social media have asked him to come to the 'live debate'. Most of them have suggested an agenda-based debate between me and Nepali Congress chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba. Such debates are held in western countries during elections. I am ready for this. What about Deubaji?
